The questions of overcome stress, worry and grief become a huge question mark on my mind lately. This is due to the fear of getting down, getting low marks, didn't get to do well as people expectation but most is didn't get to do well as MY PERSONAL EXPECTATION. etc. Well I have to keep in my mind that " The grades aren't the most important. It is important but your soft skills are important too - Nadly Aizat" But then if we do well in both, it's the win-win situation for us.
Recently, I did my first test for Oil & Fat Technology, Pilot Plant 2, Quality Assurance & Quality Control and Plant Maintenance & Inspection (*plus Final Year Project 2015) . And to be honest, I did it badly. People always said " Eleh badly Kak Neesa , 4.00 jugak nanti" That sentences, doesn't make me feel better actually. It only make the situation getting worse. The fear only getting increases day by day as I keep thinking that "Owh I must work hard. People look up to my academic performances"
Screw that up, Neesa.
Don't think about others. Think about yourself. Think about how to handle your problems, stress, fear with a good way. Achieve your dreams for yourself first, then for your parents, family, friends, lecturers etc.
Then, back to the main question.
Is there any way to overcome stress, worry and grief?
Surely, there are ways. However we need to always come back to He that create us. "This is the way for Muslim, to equip ourselves with good foundation to build our religion and our way of life - Aiman Azlan- "
Ways to overcome stress, worry and grief.
1. Ask Him. He Listens Dua's
A common way is to communicate with Allah. Surely, Allah will hear all your dua's InshaAllah
2. Leave the World behind you five times a day
3. Excuse Me you don't runs the world. He is.
4. Allah controls life and death
If you fear for your physical safety and security, remember that only Allah gives life and takes it back and, that He has appointed the time for it. No one can harm you except if Allah wills. As He says in the Quran: "Wherever you are, death will find you out, even if you are in towers built up strong and high!" (Quran 4:78).
5. Remembers that Life is short
It's easy to get caught up in our own stress and anxiety. However, if
we remember that our life is short and temporary, and that the
everlasting life is in the Hereafter, this will put our worries in
perspective.
This belief in the transitory nature of the life of this world
reminds us that whatever difficulties, trials, anxieties, and grief we
suffer in this world are, Insha Allah, something we will only experience
for a short period of time. And more importantly, if we handle these
tests with patience, Allah will reward us for it.
6. Do Zikr, Allah Allah
"… without doubt in the remembrance (Zikr) of Allah do hearts find tranquility" (Quran 13:28).
If you commute, use your time in Zikr. Pick any Tasbeeh and do that
instead of listening to the radio or reading the newspaper. Maybe you
can divide it up between Zikr and planning. Personally writer of SoundVision, he recite the
Tasbeeh of "Subhana Allahe wa be hamdihi, subhan Allahil Azeem" 100
times as he drive his car. The Prophet taught us these two short phrases which
are easy to say but will weigh heavy on our scale of good deeds in the
Hereafter.
When your heart feels heavy with stress or grief, remember Allah and
surround yourself with His Zikr. Zikr refers to all forms of the
remembrance of Allah, including Salat, Tasbeeh, Tahmeed, Tahleel, making
supplication (Dua), and reading Quran.
"And your Lord says: ‘Call on Me; I will answer your (prayer)…" (Quran 40:60)
7. Sleep the way Prophet Sleep. (*I'll share this later cause I'm learning bout the way right now)
8. Effort not results count in the eyes of Allah
Our success depends on our sincere efforts to the best of our abilities. It is the mercy of Allah that He does not demand results, Alhamdulillah. He is happy if He finds us making our best sincere effort. Thank you Allah!
If people is wondering where I got these amazing words. Most of the words I quoted from SoundVision and Islamic Prayers . Read those than the lousy twitter and facebook. Hahaahhaha.
Thank you and have a nice day.
